BY KEN K. GREEN Lamar County Middle School student Alexis Head is going to the World Series ‘“ The United States Fastpitch Association World Series that is. The upcoming seventh grader is a member of the Synergy MoJo 12U team based out of Forsyth and made up mostly Monroe County girls. The team has won six tournament championships this season including the Middle Georgia Brawl in Jackson in May to qualify for the USFA World Series. It will be held at Panama City Beach, Fla. the week of July 10-17. They are ranked among the top 35 teams in the state and among the top 130 nationally. She is the daughter of Joe and Jody Head of Barnesville.
