Green Although they did not play last week, the Lamar County Middle School Trojans received a berth in the Central Georgia Middle School Athletic Association football playoffs for the third straight year by virtue of Gray Station beating Henderson. The Trojans close out their regular season Wednesday when they travel to Jackson to take on Henderson and open the playoffs Wednesday, Oct. 19 in Thomaston against Upson-Lee. Gray Station will host Manchester in the other semi-final game as the CGMSAA reduced the number of playoff teams from eight to four this year. The two winners will meet for the championship Wednesday, Oct. 26. The junior varsity Trojans were also idle last week and will be back in action this week as they travel to Forsyth Thursday to take on Mary Persons.
