The Lamar County Recreation Department will host its annual Opening Day Ceremonies Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Ed Taylor Memorial Recreation Complex on Gordon Road. The local recreation department has 24 teams participating in various age groups in softball, baseball, tee ball and wee ball this spring. There will be games in all of the sports following the ceremonies.
