LC’s Alford named first team all-state by AJC; school’s first since 1986

Lamar County’s Tomiyah Alford was named the the first team Class AA all-state basketball team by the Atlanta Journal Constitution last week. Alford, a 5-7 senior, is being recruited by Morehead State University among other schools and scored over 1500 points during her stellar basketball career. Alford also stars in track, cross-country and soccer at LC. Those close to the basketball program report Alford is the first Lady Trojan to make the AJC’s first team since Pamela McGee in 1986. Rodney Fletcher of the Trojans also made first team that year.
