Investigators with the Lamar County sheriff’s office are probing a reported armed robbery but are skeptical of the victim’s story. The male victim reported he was robbed by two black males and one black female who were in a silver or gray 1999 Mercury Marquis. The victim said he was struck in the head by his assailants. Investigators at the scene were openly skeptical of the man’s story, noting the area was cordoned off rapidly and no trace of the suspect vehicle was found.
