LCSWA trash pickup update

Lamar County garbage pickup service is running about a day behind because of icy roads and low temperatures, Lamar County Regional Solid Waste Authority director Johnny Poore said.He advised residents to put out trash cans on their regular pickup day, noting it might be collected the next day, “but it will be picked up.” The trash trucks had to be called in last Tuesday evening but started back to work Thursday about 10 a.m.”We’ll have everything picked up by Saturday,” Poore noted. “Dependable Waste has put on extra trucks to handle the missed pickups.”
