Mrs. Leona Ellen McBee Slusser, age 79, of Barnesville passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 in a Barnesville healthcare facility. A native of Berkley Springs, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Virgil Charles McBee and the late Mrs. Nettie Genivieze Michael McBee, and was also preceded in death by two sons, Ricky Lee Slusser and Richard Leslie Slusser, by two grandchildren, Christopher John Owen and Johnette Lee Owen, and by a sister, Juanita Rothenhafer. Mrs. Slusser was a homemaker and a member of the Biglerville United Methodist Brethren. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Lester Slusser of Barnesville; three daughters, Cindy Woods (and Harry) of Unadilla, Marianne Owen (and Johnny) of Barnesville and Holly Christine Slusser of Waynesville, N.C.; one brother, Richard McBee of Maryland; one sister, Charlotte Hostetter; four grandchildren, Michelle Woods Athey, Brandon de Woods, Kimberly Ann Brown and Carrie Lynn Owen; five great grandchildren and one great-great-granchild. Funeral services for Mrs. Leona Slusser will be conducted from the graveside on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 2 p.m. in Lamar Memory Gardens.
