As we have for over 45 years, The Herald Gazette asked for and received hundreds of letters to Santa from children in the community which are published in this edition.
Many of the same gifts from previous years remain the most requested. They include tablets, remote control cars, bikes, Legos, robots, drones, iPads, PS5, Squish Mellows, phones and, of course, Barbie with her wide range of accessories. (Enjoy putting those together Christmas eve dads!)
New items on many lists include Plushies, Labubu dolls, Takis pillows and related products. More and more kids are seeking sports equipment for soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball and football.
Food is also on many lists.
Khaleeya wants an iPad, a bag of Nerds and some seafood. Montanna desires an iPad, a big, thick Stitch plushy and some hot fries.
Nathan wants a robot with batteries, new shoes and some white chocolate. Aubrey would like a MeeMeow plush, Harry Potter books, a puzzle and some chocolate candy.
Live pets, and the robotic ones, are also popular this Christmas.
Hezekiah has a long list of things he would like to find under the tree including a robot dog, Mickey Mouse clothes, a robot man, a robot cat, white and black pencils, a robot frog, a robot snake, a real snake, a robot baby and kid and a robot mom.
Honor would like a real life black cat, cat bed, cat treats, cat outfit, cat cage, cat toys, art and “lots more stuff”. Peyton wants a Golden doodle puppy, iPhone17 and “for my family to have a good Christmas”.
Tucker has an interesting list. He wants “a ginormous container with things from the ocean, a snake with a remote control and a ninja sword”.
Alania has family at heart this Christmas. She writes, “How is the elf of the shelf? I want my mom to have a baby boy or girl. Thank you so much.”
