Linnie Ruth Creamer

Mrs. Linnie Ruth Creamer, age 92, of Jasper, Ga., died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 at the Grandview Healthcare Center in Jasper, Ga., following a period of declining health. Born Feb. 23, 1920 in Macon, Ga., she was the daughter of the late John Quincy Adams and Ethel Irene Cowart Adams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Hoyt Creamer; two sisters and five brothers. Mrs. Creamer was a homemaker and member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Barnesville, Ga. Survivors include her daughter, Jenelle Creamer of Talking Rock, Ga.; children, Don Carlisle (Mary) of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Sandy Rogerson (Joe) of Barnesville, Ga.; grandchildren and spouses, Lynn and Terry Cantrell of Jasper, Ga., Joyce and Hubert Smith of Jasper, Ga., Alisha Carlisle of Maui, Hawaii, Sunny and Pete Mangrum of Harlowton, Mont., Laura and Paul Adams of Cleveland, Tenn., and John Darden of Barnesville, Ga.; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Margaret Chambliss of Macon, Ga., and Betty Morales of Texas. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Josh Cantrell and Rev. Joey Watson will officiate. At her request, Mrs. Creamer’s cremains will be reunited with her husband, Hoyt Creamer, 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at the Lamar Memory Gardens in Barnesville, Ga. The family will receive friends at Roper Funeral Home, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and until the funeral hour on Saturday. Flowers will be accepted, however the family ask that donations be made in memory of Linnie Ruth Creamer to Feed The Children, P.O. Box 36, Oklahoma City, Okla., 73101. Arrangements and services entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home of Jasper, Ga.
