Local man critical after crash

A Barnesville man was critically injured in a one-vehicle accident on New Hope Road in Pike County Wednesday. The man was in a 2006 silver Cadillac traveling south on New Hope Road in the area of Russell Road when the vehicle entered into the curve, left the roadway and hit a tree straight on. Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle. The driver, Chad Albritton, 29 of Barnesville was airlifted to Grady where he was listed in critical but stable condition Thursday afternoon.The passenger, Zada Price, 23 of Temple, was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center. She is also critical but stable. According to a sheriff’s office traffic investigator, speed seems to be a factor in the wreck. Officers were dispatched to the scene of the wreck at 1:59 p.m.
