A soldier with local ties has been killed in Afghanistan. Army Pvt. Jeremy Faulkner of the 101st Infantry was killed Tuesday morning. He was the son of Judy Berry who works in operations for United Bank. Faulkner, 23, was killed when the vehicle he was in was hit by small arms fire.
