Louise Phillips Blythe Obituaries

Louise Phillips Blythe, 89, of Milner, died Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 in a Jackson healthcare facility. Mrs. Blythe was born in Ellaville to the late Mr. Archie Preston Phillips and the late Mrs. Annie Belle Tyler Phillips (Pope). Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Wyndell Gillis and two grandchildren. Mrs. Blythe had worked as an LPN with the Sumter County Hospital and was a member of the Ideal Baptist Church in Ideal, Ga. Survivors include one daughter: Shirley Blythe Wood (and Roy) of Milner; one son, William Preston Blythe (and Carol) of Buena Vista; two brothers, Preston Phillips (and Faye) of Birmingham, Ala. and Mack Phillips (and Helga) of Apopka, Fla.; four sisters, Nadine Quarterman of Buena Vista, Voncille French of Buena Vista, Imogene Bray of Jacksonville, Fla. and Sybil Roberts (and Jimmy) of Cape Carl, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Services will be held Friday, March 2, 2012 at 11 a.m in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Bridges officiating. Interment will be held in Rock Springs Church Cemetery.
