Man faces incest, other charges here after being sentenced in Pike County

A Pike County man is in the Lamar County jail on charges of child molestation, incest, statutory rape and enticing a child for indecent purposes after being sentenced on a similar charge in Pike County last week. Isrrael Paredes Guadarrama, 36, of 16124 Barnesville St. in Zebulon, is in jail here awaiting trial. He was convicted of statutory rape in Pike County Feb. 24, sentenced to five years in prison and five years probation and then brought here. According to court documents, Guadarrama had sex with a female under the age of 16 multiple times. The warrants allege he knew the victim was related to him. All of the crimes occurred during the period Sept. 1-Nov. 21, 2018 at property on Silver Dollar Road, according to the warrants. Guadarrama was denied bond at a first appearance hearing before Judge Karen Jackson in magistrate court and bound over to superior court.
