A Monticello man was killed early Sunday in a traffic accident on Brent Road in which he was ejected from a vehicleThe full release from Allison Selman-Willis of the MCSO follows:A Monticello man is dead after being ejected from a car on Brent Road in Monroe County. The accident occurred early Sunday morning, March 11, 2012, shortly after midnight. According to the driver, Alejandro Leyto Santiago, 29, of Roberta, a deer ran in front of his 2001 Ford Explorer. He swerved to miss the deer, lost control and the car turned over. The back seat passenger, Felipe Vasquez, 18, was unrestrained and was ejected from the vehicle. The vehicle came to rest on top of Vasquez. Two other passengers, Lisandro Mendoza and Valeintine Ernesto Santiago and the driver were not injured in the crash. They told deputies working the scene that they were wearing seatbelts.The men are Mexican Nationals. The driver, Alejandro Santiago, was cited for driving without a license. No other charges are expected.
