Man lifeflighted after fall

A Thomaston man remodeling a home he bought as an investment fell off a ladder Monday morning and was lifeflighted to a trauma center. Neighbors and fellow workers at the scene identified the victim as Wendall Tyson who is approximately 63 years old. Tyson was remodeling the home at 322 Zebulon Street that he bought from Terry Martin last July. Tyson was conscious at the scene but worries regarding back or spinal injuries resulted in his air evacuation by Emory Flight. The chopper landed in a vacant lot near the defunct Ken’s Cleaners location and departed with Tyson aboard at 11:50 a.m.
