(From Allison Selman, PIO, Monroe Co. sheriff’s office:)A Forsyth man is dead after being shot by two gunman this past weekend. Robert “Wolf” Gresham, 51, of Moreland Road in Forsyth, was transported to the Medical Center in Macon on Saturday, 11/28/09, after receiving multiple gunshot wounds while at his home.Gresham was in his backyard around 8 a.m. and according to witnesses, was ambushed by two gunmen and shot. Monroe County Sheriff’s Office investigators believe the motive for the murder was robbery. Later on Saturday, after receiving information from witnesses, MCSO investigators arrested two suspects, who are being charged with murder. Anthony Threatt, 26 years old, of Forsyth, and Douglas Lee Davis, III, 28, also of Forsyth, were apprehended and are being housed at the Monroe County Jail. Both are awaiting their first appearance in court. Both men have criminal histories including theft robbery and weapons charges. Davis is currently on probation for robbery. Gresham’s body has been sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Crime Lab in Atlanta for autopsy.
