Margaret Matson Potts

Mrs. Margaret Lucille Matson Potts, age 83, of Barnesville passed away on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013 at her residence.Mrs. Potts was born in Talladega, Ala., to the late Mr. Burl Adam Matson and to the late Mrs. Cora Jane Ponder Matson. She was retired from Western Electric, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Barnesville and a veteran of the United States Army.Survivors include two daughters, Monica (and Dewayne) Strickland of Barnesville; and Martha (and Jerry) Henson of Birchwood, Tenn.; a son, Jim (and Penny) Bunting of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Justin, Jack, Keiylene and Brian, all of Barnesville; three brothers, Buddy (and Dianne) Matson, Frank (and Mary) Matson of Dothan, Ala., and Willie (and Norma) Matson of Sylacauga, Ala.; and two sisters, Dane (and Jeraid) Cantrell of Sylacauga, Ala.; and Nell (and Charles) Mizzell of Smyrna, Ga.A memorial service for Mrs. Margaret Lucille Potts will be conducted on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home.Those who wish may view the memorial page and sign the guestbook online at williamsfh.net.Williams Funeral Home of Barnesville is in charge of arrangements, 770-358-1678.
