Longtime local law enforcement officer and former Barnesville police chief Marion Hood died early Monday at his residence on Garden Circle in Milner, according to sheriff Brad White. For the past several years, Hood has manned the security station at the Lamar County courthouse for the LCSO. Funeral arrangements are pending.
