Mr. Marion Lewis White Jr., age 57, of Milner passed away on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Decatur, Ga.Mr. White was born in Thomaston to his parents Mr. Marion Lewis White Sr. and Mrs. Colleen Elizabeth Driver White. He was a veteran, having served four years in the Navy and retired from the Army National Guard with 20 years of service. Mr. White sang for various veterans benefit functions, as well as weddings, funerals and Buggy Days. He was also a member of Rock Springs Church. Mr. White was preceded in death by a sister, Marsha Cleveland, and by a daughter, Crystal Leigh White.Survivors include his wife, Linda White of Milner; two daughters, Ashley Odom of Milner and Denise Dunlap of Barnesville; his parents, Marion ‘M.L.’ White Sr. and Colleen White of Forsyth; three sisters, Deidra (and Greg) Arends of Sugar Grove, Ill., Cyree White of Stockbridge and Michelle Smith of Forsyth; four grandchildren, Trey Corley, Alyssa Woodby, Briana Finch and Christin Odom; and two great-grandchildren, Kiley Corley and Carter Corley. Numerous other relatives also survive.Funeral Services for Mr. Marion Lewis White Jr, will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012 in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Dr Benny Tate officiating. Interment will follow in Lamar Memory Gardens.
