Marion Striger Tarver

Mrs. Marion Fondren Striger Tarver, age 88, of Jackson passed away on Monday, Nov. 18, 2013 in a Macon healthcare facility. Mrs. Tarver was born in Jackson, Miss., to the late Mr. Robert Mason Striger and to the late Mrs. Margaret Fondren Striger. She was a third grade school teacher and a member of the Barnesville Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her daughters, Peggy (and Robert) Johnson and Anne Ridgeway; a son, Hugh Dow Thompson III (and Tammy); and a twin sister, Margaret LaRue. Six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Marion Tarver will be conducted Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. M.J. Gardner officiating. Interment will be held Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 20, at 3:30 p.m. in Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 from 12 noon until the service hour. The pallbearers will be Brian Johnson, David Johnson, Noah Ridgeway, Robert Johnson and James Brookshire. Flowers are appreciated.
