Marsha Kendrick Royal

Mrs. Marsha Lee Kendrick Royal, age 60, of Barnesville Ga., died March 26, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Royal was born on Dec. 30, 1952 in Thomaston Ga, to Aubrey and Virginia Boyt Kendrick. She was a dedicated teacher and spent most of her career as a first grade teacher for Thomaston-Upson schools. Mrs. Royal loved quilting and spent much time doing volunteer work, including making blankets and dresses for children in need. She had a love for nature and the outdoors and a special kinship with animals. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Roger Dale Royal of Barnesville Ga.; daughter, Mrs. Jennifer (Chris) Butler of Griffin Ga.; son Mr. Jason (Anne) Royal of Signal Mt., Tenn.; brothers Mr. Wayne (Mary) Kendrick of Arab, Ala., Mr. Steve (Kitty) Kendrick of Barnesville Ga., and Mr. Mark (Dianna) Kendrick of Barnesville Ga.; nieces and nephews, Stephanie (Ben) Durham, Caroline, Will Kendrick, Randy (April) Vaughn, Ember and Elora. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Friday, March 29, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to your local Humane Society. Coggins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
