Mrs. Mary Ellene Barron, age 69, of Barnesville, died Monday, Sept. 29, 2014 at her home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Yatesville, Ga. Elder Chris Hill will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday evening. Mrs. Barron was born in Thomaston, Ga., but had lived in Barnesville for 49 years. She was valedictorian at Yatesville High School and had retired from the Lamar County DFACS as a supervisory case worker with 36 years of service. Mrs. Barron is survived by her mother, Mary M. Barker of Thomaston; two sons, Gary Willis of Barnesville, Ga., and Dan (Joyce) Willis Jr. of Jasper, Ga.; stepson, Donnie (Melissa) Barron of Thomaston, Ga.; brother, Gaylon Barker of Thomaston, Ga.; seven Grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
