Mary L. Watson, 64, died Friday, July 10, 2015. She was a member of Unionville United Methodist Church. Her parents, Bubber Barkley and Mary Jane Evans, great-grandmother, Lizzie Bell Evans Barkley, infant sons, E.Z. and J.L. McDowell, three brothers Bubber Barkley Jr., John Wesley Barkley, Ray Barkley Jr., and baby sister Exie Barkley preceded her in death. Survivors include children: Tony (Mary) McDowell, Cathy (Terence Watson) McDowell, Milton (Jessica) Watson Jr.; grandchildren: Quinton (Cassandra) Prater, ClorissaMcDowell, Ashley McDowell, Mary McDowell, Jamori Murphy, Jeremiah Murphy; great-grandchildren: Danarre McDowell, Dreshon McDowell, Quinton Prater Jr., Laila Thomas, Kylan Foster, D’Nijah Harden, Jermaine King Andrews, Jr.; brother: Floyd (Tonya) Barkley of Barnesville; sisters: Fannie Whatley, Essie Talmadge, Martha (Howard) Cole, all of Barnesville; Cora Barkley of Clayton County, Lillie (Charlie) Mayes, Katherine Mayes of Griffin; Reba Barkley of Thomaston; one uncle: Earnest (Mildred) Barkley; two aunts: Lucille Barkley and Geraldine Ragland, sisters-in-law: Lillie Mae Barkley, Gloria Barkley, Paula Barkley, Geraldine Slaton, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and special friends: Margaret Bennett, Betty Alexander and Shirley Flemister. Services were held Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Unionville United Methodist Church. Rev. Maggie Young officiated. Bentley and Sons Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
