Mary Louise Murphy

Miss Mary Louise Murphy was born on June 7, 1950, in Culloden, GA to the parentage of the late Lucille Murphy Jones and Willie B. Jones. She attended the Lamar County school system and was a graduate of Booker High School class of 1969.
She was a faithful dedicated employee of Hardee’s of Barnesville, GA for 30 plus years.
She enjoyed cooking and baking for the community, family and friends. Mary loved spending time with family and friends, decorating for different events. She had a green thumb and specialized in growing various roses and plants. She excelled in card playing.
Memories of Mary will forever live in the hearts of her beloved family which includes her children: Sherrlyn Pennyman (Otis) and Eric Murphy; five grandchildren: Constance Paige (Charles), Anthony Brown, Krystina Brown, Stephanie Goddard, Briana Murphy; nine great grandchildren; her sister: Mildred Murphy; three sisters-in-law: Albertine Murphy, Annie B. Murphy and Betty Murphy. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, brothers and sister in Christ.
Services were held Monday, September 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. William Perdue officiating.
Bentley & Sons Funeral Home of Thomaston had charge of arrangements.
