Giant Mart has rutabagas for .69 lb.Ingredients:2 rutabagas, peeled and cut into chunks1 large onion, peeled, sliced in have and then sliced in 1/4 inch slices2-3 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive OilSalt and Pepper to taste.chicken stock (optional)Place rutabagas in a large pot of boiling water and cook until tender. 10-15 minutes.In the meantime, place olive oil in skillet and saute sliced onions until tender and golden brown.When rutabagas are done, drain and mash until fluffy. You can add chicken stock to moisten. Add onions and olive oil. Mix until incorporated.Season with Salt and Pepper.
