Mattie Pearl Foster Sullivan

Mrs. Mattie Pearl Foster Sullivan, affectionately known as “Mat’ was born on January 15, 1940, in Monroe County. She was born to the parentage of the late Mrs. Otis Foster and Loretta Wright Foster. Mrs. Mattie Pearl Foster Sullivan joined Orange Grove Baptist Church at an early age. Mrs. Mattie Pearl Foster Sullivan was preceded in death by her husband, the late Mr. Juluis Sullivan and her parents, two sons, Mr. Henry Sullivan and Mr.Lloyd Eleby; one sister: Mrs. Maritta Eleby; three brothers: Mr. Robert Foster, Mr. Jeff Foster, and Mr. Otis Foster, Jr. Mrs. Mattie Pearl Foster Sullivan leaves to cherish her memories: Mrs. Carolyn Sullivan (Oscar Williams), Mr. Kenny Sullivan, Mr. Rommie Sullivan all of Barnesville; four step-children: Mrs. Gloria Eleby, Mr. W.T. Eleby (Lucille) both of Barnesville; Mrs. Marsha Ann Eleby of Riverdale and Mrs. Yvonne Eleby of Griffin; three sisters: Ms. Emma Smith, Ms. Margaret Orchard both of Barnesville; Mrs. Barbara Ann Studds of Roberta; two brothers: Mr. Joseph Smith (Fannie) of Forsyth, Mr. Edward Davis (Pauline) of Barnesville; two sisters-in-law: Mrs. Geraldine Foster, Mrs. Cecile Foster of Barnesville; one aunt: Mrs. Elizabeth Ralls of Culloden; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several devoted friends: Mrs. Dorothy Jackson, Mrs. Margaret Cook, Ms. Connie Brown, Ms. Shelia Goggins, Mrs. Clieree Goggins and Ms. Angie Berry; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends who will miss her dearly. Services were held Saturday, April 11, 2015 in Orange Grove Baptist Church in Culloden. Pastor Lonnie Fletcher officiated. Bentley and Sons Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
