McDonald’s reopens after bomb threat

The McDonald’s location in downtown Barnesville was closed for about an hour Wednesday morning after a bomb threat. The threat was made via phone to the Lamar 911 call center at about 7 a.m. A bomb-sniffing dog was brought in and the building was quickly cleared. By 8 a.m., the fast food outlet had resumed operations and was doing a brisk business. The investigation is ongoing.
