The Lamar County Dugout Club will host its annual Meet The Trojans night Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. at The Gathering Place on Highway 341 north of Barnesville. Along with the introduction of the varsity, junior varsity and middle school Diamond Trojan baseball teams and the 2011 Diamond Girls, the evening will include a meal, silent auction, Diamond Trojan merchandise for sale and a booster club membership drive. Guest speaker will be Theodore Roosevelt “T.R.” Lewis, a professional baseball scout for the Arizona Diamondbacks who works Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. Dinner for the evening will be $6 per person for the general public. Kids 10 and under eat for $2. Baseball players and Diamond Girls will eat free.
