Melba Jean Becker

Mrs. Melba Jean Becker, age 82 of Milner, Georgia passed away April 25, 2015. She was born in Rocky Mount, Georgia to Doris Lillian McCoy Garner and the late Cecil Charles Garner. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Hugh Paul Wilson in 1962 and J.T. Becker in 1994. Melba was a member of Rock Springs Church and enjoyed reading, bird watching, caring for plants, and her Chihuahua, Angel. Survivors include her children, Michael Paul (Lisa) Wilson of Conyers, Rhonda Jean (John) McLean of McDonough and Richard Charles Wilson of Clayton; mother, Doris Garner of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Tammy Lynn Spain, James Paul Teasley, Paula Wilson Deal, Brandy Jean McLean, Jason Wilson, Spencer Wilson and Shelby Bassett; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Carlton (Linda) Garner of Rocky Mount. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Rock Springs Church in Milner. Pastor Steve Patterson will officiate. Interment will follow at Milner Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be made to Rock Springs Church in memory of Melba.
