On Thursday afternoon, April 30, 2026, BPD officers responded to a report of a fight in progress near Cherry St and Kate Ct. Upon arrival, officers observed several female subjects involved in a heated verbal altercation in the roadway.
After separating all parties, officers determined that a physical fight had occurred between multiple individuals, pepper spray had been used, and a handgun had been brandished and pointed at another person.
Most participants were teenagers, and the dispute reportedly originated at school. BPD officers made the following arrests:
Christiana Bradley (17) – Affray, Disorderly Conduct
Shmura Wellmaker (17) – Affray, Disorderly Conduct
Jaquoia Walker (18) – Disorderly Conduct
Raegan Fulton (17) – Disorderly Conduct
Laytonya Slaughter (54) – Aggravated Assault, Battery, Cruelty to Children in the 3rd Degree (x5).
Two 16-year-old juveniles were also charged with Disorderly Conduct.
