Melissa Lee to lead chamber

Melissa Lee has been named president of the Barnesville-Lamar County Chamber of Commerce. This will be her second stint at the chamber. She began working there shortly after moving to Barnesville in 1999 and was named executive director in 2002. She held that post for nearly five years. She is a Leadership Lamar graduate and earned certificates in organizational management and economic management from UGA’s Fanning Institute for Leadership Development. A native of Jonesboro, Melissa married Lamar Lee in 2014. She has four children, two step-children, and one granddaughter. She is an active member of First Baptist Church where she keeps the nursery and serves on several committees. In her free time, Melissa enjoys spending time with family and running.
