Michael E. Norred, 66, of Barnesville died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012 at the Golden Living nursing home after battling cancer. Michael was born at home Feb. 2, 1946, in College Park. He worked most of his life as an electrician. He is survived by his wife, Agnes Norred of Barnesville; one brother, James Daniel Norred of Fayetteville; two daughters, Kathy Nichoals (Norred) of Auburn and Pamela Butler (Norred) of Locust Grove; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Oct. 13, 2012 in Calvary Baptist Church in Barnesville at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
