Missing woman’s car found in wooded area

A silver Nissan in which Lori Williams was last seen was found in a densely wooded area of south Monroe County Sunday afternoon. Lamar deputies, assisted by their Monroe County counterparts and DNR rangers, located the car in which Williams was last seen in in thick woods off an old hunting road at about 3 p.m. The GBI is now processing the car. Williams was not in it. An iPad that was pinged in the area was in the car but her phone was not immediately located. Monroe deputies and firefighters will be doing a grid search of the area Monday. Search dogs from DNR and the Department of Corrections did a search after the car was located but turned up nothing. Williams is a white female, five feet, five inches tall and weighing 250 pounds. She has blue eyes and was last seen Tuesday, May 2. If you have information as to her whereabouts, call the LCSO at 770.358.5159.
