A large crowd of marchers gathered at the E.P. Roberts Center for continental breakfast then marched to the Lamar County courthouse where district two Lamar County commissioner Robert Heiney gave the keynote address. The celebrants then returned to the Roberts Center for ongoing ceremonies in the daylong celebration.
