Investigator Al Moltrum of the BPD reported today autopsy results are in on Shunta R. Olson who died in a room at Lamar Inn & Suites here on September 8, 2009. According to a report dated Jan. 18 by GBI associate medical examiner Dr. Douglas Posey, Olson died “due to a subarachnoid hemorrhage due to ruptured saccular aneurysm”. Evidence at the scene indicated Olson may have been indulging in autoerotic asphyxiation prior to her death. Autoerotic asphyxiation is the practice of strangling or suffocating one’s self in order to heighten sexual arousal and orgasm during sex or masturbation. The medical examiner ruled that her death was by natural causes.
