More ‘Ville violence: drive-by shooting

Barnesville police investigators, already busy with their probe into the murder of cabbie John Dixson, are now working an early-morning drive-by shooting at a party. Five arrests have been made. Multiple shots were fired from a vehicle at the scene of the party in the area of 215 Jackson Street at 1:04 a.m. Sunday. One round shattered the back window of a pickup truck. There were no injuries. BPD officers and Lamar sheriff’s deputies were able to find the suspect vehicle. They recovered a firearm and made five arrests. The names of those arrested are being withheld while interrogations are done, according to BPD investigator Al Moltrum.
