Morris W. Smith

Morris W. Smith of Forsyth, Ga., passed away on Oct. 21, 2014. He was the son of the late Grace Whatley Smith and the late Early Smith. His siblings, who preceded him in death, include Robert Whatley and Mamie L. Hardison. He was a master plumber, providing services throughout the middle Georgia area. His survivors include a daughter, Jeannie R. Brantley of Barnesville, Ga.; two sons, Eric Brown (Priscilla) of Forsyth, Ga., and Earl Evans (Terri) of Jackson, Ga.; six grandchildren, Ikia Richardson of Barnesville, Ga., Deshawn Brown, Alex Brown, and Jaiden Brown of Forsyth, Ga., Caleb Evans and Ava Evans of Jackson, Ga.; nieces and nephews, Rev. Rufus Whatley (Cathy) of Forsyth, Ga., James Whatley (Janet) of Houston, Texas, Janice Whatley and Emma Bowans (Jimmie) of Atlanta, Ga., and Mary Whatley-Render (Randy) of Fayetteville, Ga. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014 at 12 noon in the chapel of Freeman Funeral Home and interment was in the Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery in Forsyth, Ga.
