The murder trial of Jamarris Williams will begin with jury selection Feb. 2 in Forsyth. The trial was moved to the old courthouse courtroom after Williams objected to being tried in the new M.C. Justice Center.Williams allegedly summoned the cab of John Dixson, stabbed Dixson in the throat and left him to die in a southeast Lamar County ravine on March 16, 2012.He is charged with malice murder, three counts felony murder, armed robbery, two counts aggravated assault and hijacking a motor vehicle.Williams is represented by public defender Douglas Smith.Herald Gazette reporters will cover the trial from start to finish with periodic online updates here at barnesville.com
