Myles-Wimberly Park to be rededicated Saturday

The 2013 Leadership Lamar class will celebrate with a rededication event of the Myles/Wimberly Park on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m.The rededication in honor of coaches Robert Myles and Oscar Wimberly will be held at the Myles/ Wimberly Park, weather permitting. Leadership Lamar class members raised money during the most recent Barnesville Buggy Days to pay for the renovation of the basketball court and playground area.’Everyone is invited to come out and help us celebrate in this memorable event,’ said class member Sandra Puckett. ‘As a highlight of this celebration the community young men will be doing a pickup game directly after our rededication. There will be lots of fun activities for the entire family.’
