The Barnesville Police Department’s new K-9 officer Bones recently made his first significant bust, sniffing out a half pound of mushrooms, marijuana, prescription drugs and a Glock semi-automatic handgun with an extended clip.
With Bones is Sgt. Jesse Blackmon. Officer Kyle Sims was in on the bust with Bones.
The Barnesville Rotary Club and Arete Canine of Redbone were instrumental in acquiring, training and outfitting Bones.
