New Lamar County school superintendent Dr. Jute Wilson addressed the noon meeting of the Barnesville Rotary Club June 17.He noted he is very competitive and intends to improve the local public education system while praising the groundwork laid by his predecessor Dr. Bill Truby. “We are economic development. If we can get kids career and college ready, they won’t be on welfare and food stamps,” Dr. Wilson said.Dr. Wilson said he and his wife, Sheila, have a contract on a house in the Magnolia Farms development in north Lamar.
