Newton Collier, the second winner of the Georgia Music Legend Award at the BBQ & Blues Fest here, will be honored with a benefit birthday bash Saturday, August 15. The event is set for 6 p.m. at the Fish N Pig restaurant on Lake Tobosofkee near Macon and will benefit the Georgia Legacy Foundation (GLF). Blues Fest favorites The Buckeye Band will open the show followed by the GLF All Star Revue. The all-stars feature Sammy Blue on guitars and a host of other blues performers.
