Three heralded Georgia Tech freshmen who hail from Barnesville and are known on the Flats as the LC3 will not be redshirted and figure to see action early and often when the Jackets host Wofford in their season opener Saturday. Former Trojan Qua Searcy is in the top three players at wide receiver and will play. He has impressed his coaches and teammates with his skills. Also sure to play are Searcy’s former LC teammates Lance and Lawrence Austin. Lance is second on the depth chart at nickel back while Lance is second at cornerback. All three are getting extensive reps with the Jacket special teams units as well. Saturday’s game kicks off at 12:30 p.m. and will be televised on Fox Sports South.
