Lamar County was up to 517 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 23 deaths as of the Sunday case count update from DPH. Lamar is recorded as having 51 hospitalizations. Surrounding counties: Pike: 447 cases, 37 hospitalizations and 12 deaths. Upson: 907 cases, 102 hospitalizations and 71 deaths. Monroe: 876 cases, 94 hospitalizations and 59 deaths. Butts: 852 cases, 60 hospitalizations and 45 deaths. Spalding: 1833 cases, 224 hospitalizations and 70 deaths.
