Off duty Griffin officer shot

Bill Taylor of WKEU radio in Griffin is reporting an off duty Griffin police officer was shot Tuesday night.A large police/emergency contingent responded to the scene near the intersection of Old Atlanta and Minter roads where the officer was apparently shot in the hip during a domestic disturbance. The officer’s wounds were not thought to be life-threatening.More information is expected to be released Wednesday.
