Officer shoots self at GPSTC

A Warner Robins police officer candidate suffered a gunshot wound Monday at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth. An employee of the Warner Robins Police Department accidentally shot himself during a remedial firearms course at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth today April 29, 2013. The incident occurred around 2:15 p.m. when Michael Jaudon, 28, who was attending Basic Law Enforcement Training, accidentally shot himself in the right leg as he was reholstering his .40 cal Glock duty weapon. According to witnesses the wound appeared to be a grazing wound and is not considered to be life threatening. Jaudon was transported to a hospital in Macon for treatment. - Allison Selman-Willis, MCSO.
