A Monroe County man was killed in a one-vehicle crash Saturday night. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a single vehicle auto accident on Boxankle Road near Anderson Road in northern Monroe County. When deputies arrived, they determined that the vehicle, a 1984 Oldsmobile, had left the roadway while traveling north, over-corrected, and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle struck several trees and overturned, ejecting the driver. Eric Ussery of Monroe County was pronounced deceased on the scene. The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
