First baby redux

Forty years ago, Richmond Carter (left) was featured in The Herald Gazette as the first baby of 1983. He and his wife Jenny now live in Roswell and recreated his photo using their eight-month-old daughter Wren Elizabeth Carter (right).

Richmond is the son of the late Stonie Brock Carter and Rebecca Carter who now lives in Etowaw, Ga.

The photo of Richmond was colorized by Herald Gazette staff wizard Nolan George.
