Victim lifeflighted after ATV crash
A male victim was lifeflighted to a Macon trauma center after an ATV crash along Hwy. 18 West here Saturday afternoon. The crash happened just before 3 p.m..
The victim was operating a four-wheeler along the right-of-way when he hit a culvert and the ATV flipped several times. According to radio traffic, the victim had an arterial bleed and first responders rushed to the scene.
The victim was stabilized and flown to Atrium Health in Macon.
The crash happened at the entrance to the Honeywood Farms retail operation.
