The soccer season for LC ended at Avondale Stadium in Decatur this week with both teams losing to Paideia in the Elite 8 round of the state playoffs. On Monday, the girls lost 9-1. On Tuesday, the boys lost 9-0.
Gordon State College will host a color run Saturday morning and traffic in and around the campus may be congested for a time.
The run begins at 9 a.m. at the campus athletic complex and goes up Houston Street to Thomaston Street and then onto Spencer Street. The 5K route continues on Memorial Drive and Hihglander Way then around the campus walking trail.

A man was lifeflighted to Macon Wednesday morning after flipping a side by side ATV in a driveway on Cherokee Drive in Barnesville. The victim had to be extricated.
