Lamar Arts will hold its annual Derby Party Saturday, May 1 from 4-7 p.m. at Dolie McCarthy’s Antebellum Oaks Bed & Breakfast on Greenwood Street in Barnesville. Proceeds from the party will go to fund the organization’s art camp for kids this summer. On tap are friendly wagering, traditional derby fare, lawn games and the ever-popular hat contest. Tickets are $25 per person in advance and $30 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at the Lamar Arts gallery at the Depot, Goggans Florist and Carter’s Drugs.
